Tacview Starter provides essential tools to review and analyze your flights at home. It is available free of charge for personal use, with no time limitations or advertising.
If you want access to additional features, you can upgrade at any time to Tacview Standard or Tacview Advanced.
Tacview uses a true spherical terrain model, like modern flight simulators. You can review flights anywhere in the world and follow long-distance routes seamlessly. Multiple data sources are supported, with terrain resolution down to approximately 30 meters. High-definition terrain can also be imported by following the step-by-step instructions provided in the documentation.
Tacview provides precise control over time playback. You can adjust playback speed, pause, rewind, or jump instantly to any moment in the flight. Flights of any duration can be reviewed smoothly, from short missions to multi-day operations.
Tacview supports many major flight simulators including: DCS World, Falcon 4.0, IL‑2 Sturmovik, Microsoft Flight Simulator, X-Plane, Lockheed Martin® Prepar3D®, VRS TacPack & Superbug, Enemy Engaged Comanche vs. Hokum. If your favorite simulator is not yet supported, you can explore the technical documentation to see how to create your own data exporter.
The Lua SDK allows you to customize and automate Tacview. With lightweight scripts, you can analyze flight data, react to events, and create your own tools for missions or squadron activities. It offers a straightforward way to experiment and build your own extensions.
